Thanks be to God!!!

Phillip got his first JOB!!! In two weeks he will be starting at ARGO in Richardson, providing software and hardware support. After many different offers and much prayer by both of us, Phillip discerned that ARGO was the place God wanted us to be. Please pray for him as he begins this new chapter in his life and for me as I fulfill my role trusting and supporting him in this endeavor.

British Fertility Clinics Plan to Grow Human Ova

Sadly there is another tragedy on the ART front. Two British fertility clinics are beginning the harvest and storage of immature gametes to mature in the lab for career women in the future. The poor egg is not even allowed to mature in the woman's body rather all the "work" is done in a lab and a newly created embryo is just implanted when the parties deem it the right time. What is the next step, no gestation or labor at all, just pick up the fully developed baby nine months later?

You can read the article from The Telegraph here.

Promises of the Sacred Heart to St. Margaret Mary

"And He showed me that it was his great desire of being loved by men and of withdrawing them from the path of ruin into which Satan hurls such crowds of them, that made Him form the design of manifesting his heart to men, with all the treasures of love, of mercy, of grace, of sanctification and salvation which it contains in order that those who desire to render Him and procure for Him all the honour and love possible, might themselves be abundantly enriched with those divine treasures of which this Heart is the source. He should be honoured under that figure of this Heart and flesh, and its image should be exposed . . . He promised me that wherever this image should be exposed with a view to showing it special honour, He would pour forth His blessings and graces. This devotion was the last effort of His love that He would grant to men in these later days, in order to withdraw them from the empire of Satan which he deserves to destroy, and thus to introduce them into the sweet liberty of the rule of His love, which He wished to restore in the hearts of all those who should embrace this devotion." ~St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

The 12 Promises of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

1. I will give them all graces necessary for their state of life.

2. I will give peace in their families.

3. I will console them in all their troubles.

4. They shall find in My Heart an assured refuge during life and especially at the hour of death.

5. I will pour abundant blessings on all their undertakings.

6. Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy.

7. Tepid souls shall become fervent.

8. Fervent souls shall speedily rise to great perfection.

9. I will bless the homes in which the image of My Sacred Heard shall be exposed and honoured.

10. I will give to priests the power to touch the most hardened hearts.

11. Those who propagate this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, and it shall never be effaced.

12. The all-powerful love of My Heart will grant to all those who shall receive Communion on the First Friday on nine consecutive months the grace of the final repentance; they shall not die under My displeasure, nor without receiving their Sacraments; My Heart shall be their assured refuge at that last hour.

A New Adventure in Homemaking

In my journey to maintain frugality I found an amazing book by Janice Cox, Natural Beauty at Home, that contains over 250 simple and all natural recipes for most everything from shampoo and conditioner to perfume and cold cream. A nice thing about the recipes is that the majority of them need only three or four common and everyday ingredients. The only concoction that I was surprised not to see in the book, given that it did have a section devoted to babies, was a baby wipe recipe; thankfully I already had a few of those.

Now that my usual supplies are finally dwindling I have decided to swear off store bought, over-priced and chemical filled hygiene associated products to fully pursue this natural avenue. Saturday I plan to begin with soap, hair gel, deodorant, shaving cream, powder, shampoo, conditioner, aftershave, and tooth paste. I will let y'all know how they are all working in a few weeks.

Once my other book arrives I will tackle natural home cleaning supplies, so stay tuned!
